ALL STUDENTS wishing to change schools should submit an application on March 7, 2020. Deadline to apply for transfer to a different magnet school is June 1, 2020.
Complete the Magnet School application and submit to the Marion Performing Arts Center on March 7th from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM. After March 7th, applications may be dropped off at the Administration Building from 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM. No early applications will be accepted.
Please do not fax, mail or email applications. They will be accepted on Saturday, March 7th. Only hand delivered applications will be accepted. Students will be placed on a first come, first serve basis as space allows.
Student placement will be determined by date and time application is officially received. All applications will be entered on a first come, first serve basis in the order in which the application is received.
Complete one application per child.
Sibling preference may be granted if space is available. Only applications hand delivered to the Marion Performing Arts Center on March 7th will be considered. Preference may be
given when a sibling is currently attending and will still be attending the school to which the applicant has applied. The brother or sister must reside in the same household.
Applicants may turn in an application for one additional household other than your own.
Notification letters of placement will be mailed in May to the address on file with Marion School District.
If the student does not receive placement in his/her first choice magnet school, the parent may call the magnet office at 870-739-5100 and request that the student be placed on a waiting list for that school and grade.
