It's fall y'all! This month's "Teacher of the Month" goes to Elaine Dupree. Mrs. Dupree is an original She works diligently to deliver instruction day after day. She does a phenomenal job with maintaining accurate records and communicating with students. Dupree shows her support to students in and out of the classroom by attending multiple sporting events and building rapport. When a student walks in her classroom, they immediately know it is time to get to work. Her commitment to Marion Junior High is undeniable. Please take the time to congratulate Mrs. Dupree.

The early bird gets the worm! Students in 8th grade honors science tried to pick up as many seeds and “bugs” as they could using various “bird beaks”. Students have been learning about adaptations over time. Today’s lab helps them examine why adaptation is important to survival.
MJHS FCCLA gathered over 300 items to donate to Families in Transition this past month. Miranda Sims was the overall winner of the $100 contest, donating more than $150 worth of toiletry items on behalf of FCCLA to F.I.T. alone. Mrs. West pictured with Miranda and donations.
