Class of 2023

Nearly 300 Marion High School graduates will participate in the 2023 graduation ceremony, set for 7 p.m. Thursday, May 25, at the Marion football stadium.

Admission to the event is free, and no tickets are required. There are no attendee limitations. For those who are unable to attend the event, the ceremony will also be live-streamed at marionpatriots.com and through the Marion Patriots Mascot Media app.

In the event of inclement weather, the event will be delayed or rescheduled for the following day, Friday, May 26, also at the football stadium. (NOTE: Information previously sent with some invitations indicating the ceremony could be moved indoors was incorrect.)

The MHS Class of 2023 includes 290 members, including more than two dozen Honor Graduates and 21 early graduates. Members of this year’s senior class amassed more than $5 million in college scholarships.

“I am incredibly excited to celebrate this year’s graduating class,” said MHS Principal Mike Skelton. “These students have put in the effort and perseverance over their educational careers, and each and every one of them should take tremendous pride in their accomplishment. I can’t wait to see them make their mark as they head off into the world. It has been a true honor to serve as their principal over the past year.”

The graduation ceremony will include an opening speech by Senior Class President Brianna Morquecho; remarks from Skelton and Dr. Glen Fenter, superintendent; and the presentation of diplomas by Skelton and members of the Marion School District Board of Directors.
