Today, Ms Jones K-8 ALE students honored SRO Massey for Veteran's Day with juice and donuts. The students made cards for him and presented him with a gift card to Zaxbys. Massey answered questions about his military experience and encouraged them to continue to do the right things in life.

Students in Kelsey Larsen's sixth grade reading class complete a gallery walk to help build their background knowledge before starting a new novel. Background information helps to build learning and understanding for students. Research shows that readers are able to make more connections and find texts more relative to their own lives if they have a better context for learning.

Tuesday’s girls’ basketball game vs Little Rock Hall has been cancelled. There is no change for the boys’ contest vs Little Rock Hall at this time. Tipoff is scheduled for 7:00 pm on November 10th at Marion’s Patriot Arena, on the campus of Marion Junior High. Patriot passes will be accepted for entry, and tickets will be sold at the gate ($5 each). Student IDs will not be accepted.
