The Marion School District is excited to announce an exclusive five-year stadium sponsorship with First National Bank of Eastern Arkansas.
As a result of the partnership, Marion's baseball stadium will be called “First National Bank of Eastern Arkansas stadium.” The sponsorship began earlier this school year. The field itself will remain “John Robbins Field.”
“I grew up in Marion and I attended Marion High School,” said Nick Sutton, President of First National Bank of Eastern Arkansas. “It is important to us that we support our local school system and witness its continued growth. We are proud and excited to support the young athletes and students at MHS.”
First National Bank of Eastern Arkansas has 15 locations across Arkansas and Tennessee. FNBEA has local branches in Marion, Earle, and Hughes.
“We couldn't be happier or more grateful to First National Bank of Eastern Arkansas for forming this partnership with us,” said Marion Athletic Director Derek Harrell. “This is an ideal partnership for both parties because FNBEA takes pride in supporting the communities it serves. By partnering with the Marion School District, we can contribute to the nourishment and strength of those shaping our future together.”
“FNBEA is really excited to support the Marion School District, and the baseball program, by sponsoring the baseball facilities,” said FNBEA Senior Vice President Thomas Gerrard. “Our pledge further solidifies our commitment to the community, and we look forward to seeing our neighbors at the ballpark to support the Marion baseball team.”
The Marion School District has been working to secure facility sponsorship agreements with several local businesses. Proceeds from the sponsorships will benefit the MSD Foundation, furthering its mission to raise funds for innovative programs and activities to enhance the educational experience for Marion students. Additional sponsorship opportunities remain available, and any interested local business should contact Marion Superintendent Dr. Glen Fenter at 870-539-5100.
The Marion JV baseball team will be in action today (March 3) at John Robbins Field at First National Bank of Eastern Arkansas Stadium. Following play this weekend at the PBR Classic in northwest Arkansas, the varsity Patriots will host Palestine-Wheatley on Tuesday (March 8).
